As far as I know, only J is pronounced as Hose, and not G as J to pronounce
silent H.
Since G does exist in the Spanish alphabet G should be used and not J
(pronounce how you like).

That 'Umlo' or 'Humlo' is the big Red ant, that used to bite/sting.
There were 2 species -- one Red and the other black. Apparently,
the black one did not bite. The Red 'humley' used to be found mostly
on trunks of coconut trees. We used to always dread the red ants.
