BRINGING IN IMPORTANT BILLS WITHOUT PROPER CONSULTATION The UP Legislature has drafted a population control bill and there is a private member bill to be introduced on grounds of vikas and resources being hampered by increasing population. Also in some BJP ruled states on the myth of depleting Hindu and increasing Muslim population.The official survey's show that in the last 20 years, both in north and south India population is decreasing!Nobody denies that population growth must be controlled but the way to do it and implementation must not cause chaos and consternation, bringing in unnecessary trauma and pain by implementation of incentives and penalties by draconian laws intruding into personal space!The correct way is education and increasing efficient delivery of family medical services. It is happening! China tried one child legislation and had spectacular development etc but now in big problem due elderly demographic dividend! They are now providing incentives for 2 child norms but the young do not want to marry for the good life, need to look after elder parents and affordability!The BJP has good ideas but unfortunately fail to properly discuss it, putting the cart before the horse and during the pandemic cannot afford to land the nation into further discord!
