In the young, dynamic and visionary Ameya Abhyankar the Goa’s Tourism
Department had a very competent and proficient Director. But to our dismay
the awful tainted and corruption drenched Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar
has got him abruptly transferred for not marching to his illegal diktats.
Officers should be allowed to run the administration without any political
interference. If he was allowed to do so, Ameya Abhyankar an IAS officer
would have definitely been able to successfully resuscitate the ailing
Tourism trade which is currently the backbone of Goa’s economy.
Dilip Parulekar lacks any vision to enhance Tourism in Goa, his only master
plan being how to line up his pockets by whichever means. He has not even
spared raking in the moolah into his pockets from the very crucial beach
cleaning tender which has ended up being a multi crore stinking scam.
Dilip Parulekar by his acts of ommssion and ommssion has only taken the
Tourism industry further down the tube. Ameya Abhyankar was a ray of hope
but Dilip Parulekar’s insane orders will now take the already fumbling
Tourism industry further deep into the woods.
