In Advocate Joe Antao’s death the legal fraternity of Goa has lost a very
knowledgeable and resourceful colleague. It was my privileged to be a
student of Adv. Antao at the Law College. He was always ever so humble,
modest, unassuming and a down to earth soul. He was also closely associated
with the socio-cultural arena and went on to be the Sarpanch of his village
Guirdolim.
Adv. Antao was heartbroken after his younger son Aaron met with a fatal
motorcycle accident some years ago. He must have never recovered from that
shocking blow. Today Adv. Antao is no more but the memories of his lucid
and enriching lectures on Law will live on.
May the soul of my great Professor Joe Antao rest in eternal peace, now in
the company of his dear late son Aaron.
