[Goanet] Banco Nacional Ultramar - Fontainhas - San Tome
I do remember reading about SAO TOME chapel
That it had a resident chaplain
Originally it was at the ferry (opp. Mermaid Garden)
and that it was shifted here. I think I read it in the newspaper
Perhaps, written by
Maria de Lourdes Brava
Dear all,
Thank you very much for those who wrote in both privately and publically and
JoeGoaUK for the photographs. I was under the mistaken impression that the
State
bank opposite the Secretariat was the Banco Nacional.
What a wonderful and varied history we Goans have and possibly one of
BNU's remnants at the SBI..

Hi Selma,
The one person who could help you in this matter would probably be Prof.
Vasco Pinho.
I do not have his contact details but I am sure someone or the other on GN
will be able to help contact Prof. Pinho.
Keep up the good work,
Tony

Can someone tell me where the Banco Nacional Ultramar used to be in Panjim. I
am
assuming it was in what is now the State Bank, right across the Secretariat and
(b) what was the exact purpose of the Secretariat during this time.
Also can someone (maybe Cha Cha Alfred) describe to me what it
.
Regards
Vivek

Would anyone know if the San Tome chapel would have had a
dedicated priest attached to it?
Best,
