Written with tongue-in-cheek humour, P&P is a story about life and times among the English gentility during 1800's. The story mainly revolves around The Bennet family and its five daughters; the beautiful Jane, the intelligent Elizabeth, the bookish Mary, the immature Kitty and the wild Lydia. Though the novel was published more than two centuries ago, it still holds relevance today, Which makes one wonder, whether in spite of all the advances made by humankind, are core behaviours still the same?
