It is always interesting to see how within a family, there’ll be one who cares 
deeply about relations as compared to the others who don’t.

This is best manifested in a diaspora family returning to the home country.

While some will go like tourists, intent on seeing places, having fun, 
experiencing a culture with which they have been out of touch, the other type 
will go out of their way not only to visit sick or old relatives, but to step 
in the houses of those who are struggling with money or other issues with the 
sole intent to show their family solidarity. 

Such carers used to be common in the past. As family values deteriorate, they 
have reduced in number.

To the person in your family who cares about other family members, recognize 
them at family gatherings. A little gratitude goes a long way.
