Dham Dham Boys win Bicholim soccer Samir Umarye BICHOLIM, NOV 10 Dham Dham Boys, Valpoi defeated Vijayanand Sports Club 3-2 via the tie-breaker to emerge champions in the finals of Bicholim Taluka soccer tournament organised by Friends Circle, Bicholim at Shivaji Maharaj maidan, Bicholim, recently.
In all 16 teams participated. The winners, Dham Dham received Rs 4,000 plus a trophy while the runners-up had to settle with Rs 3,000. Following prizes were awarded: Best player of the tournament - Muzambir, Dham Dham Boys; Best Defender - Prashant of Bagwada Sports Club, Bicholim; Best Goal - Safin, Dham Dham Boys. Frankie Sequeira, president, Friends Circle alongwith Arun Lawanis and Vishan Kawlekar gave away the prizes.
