Hello Mr. Mohan,

Between Bilaspur and Calcutta on SE Railway is Kharagpur (also in the
Guiness Book with the longest railway platform in the world) where Leslie is
supposed to have played quite a bit of his hockey. Infact he still has
family in Kharagpur (aka KGP). Among them was his maternal uncle Mr.
Blacquer and his family. Is Kharagpur (home of the famed IIT and the SERA
Stadium where Leslie Claudius played hockey) featured in the Documentary too
? If so legions of ex IIT Kharagpur students will buy the film too. Please
review the film and advise.

Anyway I will purchase a copy of the film,Thanks for the information. This
video may also be a big hit with the Anglo Indian diaspora in Australia, NZ,
Canada and England.

Best Regards,

Dr. Carmo D'Cruz,

>India, as you know, is a land of field hockey, a land that produced the

>
>Our documentary is a nostalgic journey with Leslie through the beautiful
>game of hockey. His reminiscences of the Olympics are something exceptional
>to hear. Leslie opens out his personality, his philosophy of hockey and his
>ideals of a sportsman's life, which he thinks is the best thing on earth.
>
>We started our shooting from Bilaspur in Central India, where he was born.
>He then came to Calcutta and settled here. Initially, he was a football

>Leslie's name was in the Guinness Book of World Record as the four
>consecutive Olympian in the World. He has achieved 3 Olympic Gold medals
>(1948 to 1956) and Silver (1960) where he was the captain the team. It was
>truly a sad moment for him, being the captain of the Indian team that loses
>to Pakistan for the first time in an Olympics.
>
>There are few clippings of old Olympic Games, and the Indian team playing
>at the Olympics. These were taken from the archives of Government of India.
>
>The film includes Leslie, at the age of 75, his personal moments, his
>memoirs of the Olympics, his sharing views with Keshav Dutt, Leslie in
>different moods (Singing songs/ playing veterans hockey), his relationship
