Renowned religious preacher, convenor of multiple Charismatic Retreats, Praise and worship to the Lord, every Fridays of the month, devouted Konkani Romi script votary, and a diocesan minced no words in speaking out his mind on political issues, late Fr. Conceicao D Silva, 66 yrs, Parish Priest, of Church of Our Lady of Snows, Raia, Salcete Goa was brought to the Grace Intensive Cardiac Care Center and General Hospital Pajifond Margao Salcete Goa in the wee hours of the morning after he suffered a massive heart attack and breathed his last at 0345 IST according to Hospital sources. He would have celebrated his 67th birthday in February next week end. The death was confirmed to this writer in a teletalk this morning by Paco Patriacal, Archbishops House, Altinho, Panaji. Incidentally, Fr Conceicao a native of Orlim, had a series of charismatic retreats lined up this month every Friday and the devotees who thronged in large numbers will miss him and his retreats dearly. He had mesmerised large crowds over the years, be it in Ambelim, Mandur, Taleigao, and his last bastion Raia before he left for his heavenly abode.
