I admire Frederick Noronha´s talent in investigative journalism in always trying to find new topics which might be of interest to participants of this Forum. His article on Mr. Braganza in GD Vol 16 Issue 499 rekindled my interest in this topic. I was a stamp, portcards, aerogrammes, first day cover collector of Goa in my youth. It helped me to make some pocket money in my adolescence by trading with other collectors in Goa and abroad. I had to stop this activity when I entered Escola Medica. But I still kept part of my collection. Frederick´s posting might help me in deciphering a related topic on learning a little history of Medical Doctors from Aldona, the birthplace of my maternal grandfather Antonio Pantaleão Ferrão. Attached to this mail is a postcard posted from London(6/9/1916) by a Medical Doctor Lobo trying to go into surgery writing to Fr .Fellipe José Lobo of Aldona. Would any of Aldoncars participating in this forum know if this doctor was related to Dr.Filipe Lobo of Aldona active practitioner in the 1950s and had a son by name of Arthur who worked for Portuguese Airlines at that time ? Any info in this regard would be welcome Carlos Peres da Costa, Recife Brazil
