Sir, Today, 8th August 2014 Prof. Shyam Manav, a prominent anti superstition activist will appear at 2.30 pm in Panaji court in a criminal case filed by Sanathan Sanstha. I am privileged to appear on his behalf in the said case. Sanathan Sanstha has filed criminal case against him and seven others including Dr. Narendra Dabholkar and ‘CHITRLEKHA’ magazine and its editor, publisher and corespondents as it alleged that the Chitraleka magazine has defamed the Sanatha organisation.
It has been decided that battery of lawyers will appear for these journalists and Prof Shaym Manav and after the court hearing Shay Manav will address the Media out side court at Panaji, Goa around 3.30pm. Prof.Shyam Manav is the president of All India Andha shradha Nirmulan samithi who started the anti-superstition campaign in 1980 and continuously fighting off the spurious and defying the irrational in day-to-day life, principally bogus godmen who exploit gullible ‘followers’ physically and monetarily. Shyam Manav has also authored several books against superstition and he in his fight has remained undeterred in carrying forward this fight despite the murder of his former colleague, Dr. Narendra Dabholkar, by unidentified fanatic in Pune on 20th August 2013.
