Under the guise of the need for Integrated National Security, Goa
Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has decided to unfurl his RSS agenda in Goa
which is clear indication of the \'Hindutva\' agenda of the BJP in the state
and Centre. Goa Su-Raj Party will not allow any RSS-backed NGO to set-up its
National Security academy in Goa.
Speaking on the issue, Savio Rodrigues, Secretary/Spokesperson &
President (Youth Affairs), expressed, FINS is an RSS-backed NGO and in the
interest of secularism, and most of all, safety of the people of Goa, we cannot
allow the fascist mind-set to prevail in Goa under the guise of national
security. FINS is run by Indresh Kumar - a known RSS idealogue and it is an
RSS-defense Think-Thank. Kumar has in the past has also been questioned by
government agencies on the Ajmer Dargah Blasts. This is a dangerous trend for
the secular people of Goa, first the Hindu Nation convention in Goa, and now,
this.
During the FINS conference in Goa in the month of February,
Parrikar had stated that sometimes you wonder whether we seriously understand
our security problem. Shortly, I am announcing the setting up of an academy
which FINS (Forum for Integrated National Security) can operate. The State
government will set it up. It can be a college of security or school or
whatever word you want to use. Today, he has executed just that in his Budget
by allocating Rs 50 lakh for setting-up this Academy, Rodrigues further
elaborated.
Goa Su-Raj Party will raise the issue with the Governor and
highlight our apprehensions around such an Academy being set-up in Goa with its
outward appearance being National Security but its real face being that of
\'communalism\' and \'fascism\', Rodrigues expressed.
