GROCERY SHOP DOWN STAIRS
AS THE SON CAME WITH THE SODA HE FOUND HIM LYING ON THE BED AND LOOKED

Funeral Cortege will leave his residence tomorrow (15/11/07) at 3.15pm to Holy
Cross Church, Quepem.
Never met the man but read his regular postings on this forum. He was
obviously a true son
of Goa, and he and his postings will be terribly missed. May his Soul rest
in Eternal Peace.

Sanny de Quepem, a 8 times Kala Academy's Best Singer Award winner, and
well known Konkani stage singer and composer died yesterday evening (9th
November 2007) in Kuwait. Arrangements are being made to fly the mortal
remains to Goa.
Born in 1951 at Onsnimadem, Cuncolim,
The Chairman, President and the Managing Committiee of Goan Cultural
Centre-Kuwait deeply mourn the sad desmise of our beloved Friend, Konkani
Artiste and one of the Goa-world moderator Mr.Sunny de Quepem on 9th
November, 2007 in Kuwait. May hos soul rest in peace.
I have only just this year joined Goanet but found Sanny's posts his input
only just for this year, enlightening sometimes sad, sometimes funny,
sometimes quirky, something for every occasion.
May his soul be at peace may his family find comfort in knowing that not
just in real life

It was with shock and sadness that we learnt of the passing of Goanetter,
Sanny de Quepem in Kuwait on November 9, 2007. He was a thorough Goenkar -
born and bred in Goa. Living in Kuwait did not diminish his love for
everything Goan. He promoted Konkani, Konkani Music and the tiatr. While
Sanny de Quepem...
God functions in his own strange ways...
It was sad to learn that regular writer, Sanny de Quepem is no more with
us...Surely the Goanet community has lost one of its most valuable, consistent
and prolific writers.
I highly value the time and effort this Goenkar devoted to
