Dear Mr. Naik,

Thank you for your concern but no thank you. The Expert Committee for the RD Parade has known GOA's performance at the Parade for a long long time. It was a 'BHAGWAS' an utter failure during the last tenure of the BJP in Goa. This year's 'JAGOR' has probably insulted the immaginations of the Committee members as it could probably be devoid of any GOA CONNECTION, but Marathized display.

Serves you guys right. Now eat the SHAME.

*SHANTARAM NAIK MEETS ANTONY ON REJECTION OF GOA FLOAT*

FOR THE FAVOUR OF PUBLICATION

Mr. Shantaram Naik MP, has strongly objected to rejection Goa Float, this
year, by the Expert Committee which examines Floats to be included in the
Republic Day Parade.

In this connection Mr. Naik met Shri A.K. Antony, Union Minister of Defence
and Shri Jitendra Singh , Union Minister for State of Defence in
Parliament House today and gave them a memorandum requesting for the
review of the decision of the Expert Committee.

Mr. Naik said that in the first meeting with the Committee, Goa Government
presented two themes, out of which, Expert committee shortlisted theme “*
JAGOR”.*

Mr. Naik said in the second meeting, new drawings on JAGOR were presented
whereupon the Expert Committee suggested some major changes.

In the third meeting revised drawings, with suggested changes, were
presented, and in that meeting a few further minor changes were suggested
by the committee , and that, Goa Government representatives were asked to
go ahead with Model and Music4.

Later, model as per the changes suggested, was presented, whereupon
Committee suggested some changes in placement. Music three tracks were also
presented, out of which, they approved one.

Mr. Naik further said new model as per changes suggested by Expert
committee was presented along with final music, wherein they suggested one
minor change, which the Goa Government representatives promised to
incorporate during execution.

Goa representatives were even told that all their performing artists should
reach Delhi By 6th Jan 2013 for practice, Mr. Naik said in his memorandum.

Shockingly, Mr. Naik told the Ministers that in the final meeting, there
were 15 states, out of which, 14 have been create cleared except Goa. And
Among 9 Floats of ministries 5 have been cleared. Thus, totally 19 Floats
are presently cleared, Mr. Naik said.

Mr. Naik said JAGOR which is folk Form and art form is getting endangered
today. Goa is an international tourist destination. The Expert Committee
should not have treated the State in the manner, the State has been treated.

Shantaram Naik
