Konkani Seminar - "Mumbointleo Goenkarancheo Sonstha Ani Goenkaranche Kudd"
GRAF in collaboration with The Goan Review and Gulab organizes a Konkani Seminar "Mumbointleo Goenkarancheo Sonstha Ani Goenkaranche Kudd" highlighting today's sad state of affairs of the Goan Associations in Mumbai and the Goan Clubs and suggesting remedial measures. On Sunday the 29th. March at 4.00 p.m. at St. Sebastian Goan High School, Dabul, (Thakurdwar) Near Charni Road Station, Mumbai
The idendity of the Goans in Mumbai is slowly dying. The heritage that was built by our ancestors in Mumbai - namely the Village clubs and other institutions are dwindling in numbers. No competent and capable persons are coming forward to run the Goan associations and Village unions. Consequently the associations are dormant and some are running just for the name sake.
Therefore, for this reason, this seminar on "Goan Assocaitions in Mumbai and the Goan Clubs " is being oraganised with the aim of waking up the Goans of Mumbai. Some concerned Goans have taken steps to register the Goan clubs in Mumbai in order to preserve them for posterity.
We are humbly calling upon all Goans to come and attend this seminar in large numbers so that all Goans come together and discuss this matter and come forward to take remedial measures to make our institutions and associations vibrant once again.
