All above is gospel truth. We at Goa Su-Raj thank Navhind Times for having
put up this info for the consumption of the general public.
Registered societies in the political fray.
Goemchea Rakhondarancho Awaz
Originally the name came about as some 30 citizens' organisations and forums
decided to agitate against what theycalled disenchantment against the
government. However, it was later registered by Mr. Manuel Caldeira as
president and Mr. Floriano Lobo as general secretary. Nationality of Mr.
Caldeira has been questioned by some.
COMMENTS:
All of it is very true.
Mr. Caldeira is holding Canadian Passport. The GRA was was aware of it all
the time. But that was not at all the concern because Mr. Caldeira is a
bonafide Goan born and brought up in Goa. GRA has gone on record of having
told the press that if Mr. Caldeira was holding Chinese or Pakistani
Passports, this would be the least of it's bothers. The fact remains that
Mr. Caldeira is a Goan who loves Goa. However, Mr. Caldeira himself has
offered to resign the post of the President because of this reason, only not
to embarass the Organisation. BTW Mr. Caldeira has been in the process of
changing his passport to Indian Passport. Mr. Matias Vaz has since taken
over as the President of GRA with Franky Gracias of HCN as the Treasurer.
