INTERNATIONAL GOAN YOUTH CONVENTION, July 2-4, 2011, San Francisco, California.
Growing up in Goa, I never imagined young people would be so excited to meet in one place and discover their roots. I look forward to attending the convention and meeting other Goan youth (Vidya, Margao). I had other plans for early-July, till I heard about the International Goan Youth Convention in San Francisco and quickly changed my plans to attend the convention. Would not want to miss this exciting opportunity (Craig, Mumbai). As one of the volunteers on the youth committee, it has been so much fun organizing the convention the way we want it! For Youth, By Youth! I am excited to attend and participate at the International Goan Youth Convention. We have fun interactive ways that we will learn more about Goa, and our culture. I am most looking forward to learn more about the topic on preparing for college and careers. "Dig your Roots, Discover your connections!" (Anjali, Orinda). The Goan Youth convention is a great idea! It provides us young professionals with an avenue to network, socialize and make life-long friendships with like-minded Goan individuals. I am looking forward to a fun filled weekend, connecting with my Goan roots and am really excited at the potential to build a global network of young Goan professionals (Ralph, Southern California).
