To
The Editor of Herald

Sir,
This is to inform you that the information provide by your newspaper,
herald, with regards to the designer of National Costume worn by Miss
United Contestant from India, Gail Da Silva, is wrong. Your news paper has
wrongly mentioned that the said costume was designed by one Esha from Pune.
The fact is that this costume was designed and assembled by one Goan named
Melvyn Noronha. The paintings on the dress is painted by a Goan beautician,
Carol Fernandes The artwork on the blouse is drawn by goan artist Alexyz.
Your newspaper has denied goan artists and given undue credit to a person
who has only designed the finale gown for the said pageant. This has caused
great anguish and disappointment among the people who have spent months
conceptualising and creating this dress that was awarded the best national
costume at the said pageant.

I request you to correct the mistake made by your newspaper and reprint the
article giving credit where it is due. If our humble request is not adhered
to, we will have no choice but to approach the courts and file for damages
considering this costume has got international recognition and therefore
will impact the careers of those involved. I look forward to you to do the
right thing.
Thanking you
Yours sincerely,
For Team Gail-
