There ought to be basic yardsticks to any major event or cherished happening. I am of the belief, as is another close friend that we are getting shafted in this modernity, in more ways than we can begin to imagine. It is yet, more of taking, while giving or sharing very little by our beloved corporates. BTW, no sooner having evolved into an arch modern, fortunately for my own humnaism I soon understood its scaly side. And cussedly it would have been better to stay oblivious. However, it does allow people to appear, however briefly at the same table, and occasionally sit at it; in turn leading to certain advancements in certain aspects of being. I still see value to modernity, but not as seen in my observations of its expressions in the maim-desh. Perhaps something to do with clashes of internalized ideologies while practising others that allow one to gain access to exploitative formulae. Short films on Mario. Featuring the first public appearance in Goa by Amruta Patil, graphic novelist and Goa Art College graduate. Her recent graphic novel, 'Kari' (Harper Collins) earned wide acclaim. All are welcome. 24th July – Children's Day - presented in conjunction with Bookworm Children's Library and Activity Centre. (4.30 pm sharp) All children (up to 15 yrs of age) are invited to a unique interactive workshop on Mario Miranda's artwork, featuring readings, presentations on Mario's technique and imagery, and lots of drawing!
