Let us not mourn Alfred's death, but celebrate his life.
Sincere condolences to all his loved ones. Hope the family
will in due course move to get published what he had been
working on. There would be many who would gladly assist.
Farewell, dear chacha, v

Really sad. He was a vital mine of information, particularly on pre-61 Goa.
His writings will be sorely missed. His piece in today's OHeraldo called
for the Dabolim Airport to be named after Dr. Jack Sequeira. RIP, Alfred
for providing us with nuggets of information.

2014-08-31 Thread Dr. J. Colaco
Very saddened by the news of the Passing of Chacha

Knew that he was ailing for some time. His gregarious spirit helped him
hold the fort. Am glad that he was able to make that summer trip to Goa,
and say his piece in the Heraldo, earlier this year.

Missed an opportunity to personally touch bases (and debate
semi-contentiously, no doubt) with him in Alexandria, Virginia. The
hurricane (in the vicinity) and the loss of power (at his hotel) meant that
e-communications were not to be - until it was too late (we were traveling
back to home base soon thereafter). He was there on work. We were on a
short visit.

May his soul RIP. Our condolences to his family.
