Crumbling?

The bridge is in fine shape.

This is from a forthcoming book (don't ask which):

QUOTE: The bridge over the Fontainhas creek was modelled on Roman
arch-styled bridges. The foundations and materials used in its construction
were such that it still withstands the ravages of time. UNQUOTE

[Goanet] Imbalance on Goanet?

26 contributors to 10,000 readers Its quite possible that is how the
Goan world works. And similar worlds. Likely a similar ratios or even
higher for, politics, religion, mass media, festivals, social clubs,
etc. It's 385 to 1...

I have to admit, I enjoy most of the posts here.

Jim,
Con Menezes is an octogenarian living in Australia with an interesting life
experience.

He is from the former Rhodesia or else one of the other British South African
ruled countries and like many of us, has an interesting migratory life
experience. Over the years, he has sent me a couple of emails that tell an
interesting story, without his meaning to do so.

Why he has restricted himself to posting links on Goanet instead of posts about
his experiences, I will never know as I never ventured to ask.

Perhaps now, with your goading, he will change his mind, if sufficient anger
has aroused within him a desire to challenge your hypothetical 'robot'.

Roland,

Unless someone like Herman confirms the 10K number, I would not believe it.

Regarding 35%+ posts from Con Men., - I'd say they are 99% one-liners with
copy/paste links - which does not require much of a brain. I have 'Bot' that
can do better ...

The links range on tips from - how to avoid paying breathing tax on air - to
why, people kick buckets as they approach 100. But once in a blue moon, you do
find an interesting link.

His personal inputs though are very minimal - and when he occasionally does so
- he gets questioned. Obviously, he ain't got no answers ...

For a recent example, see here:

On his own, Con does not really contribute anything much

Year to date there are 209 posts on the board, of which Con Menezes accounts
for 76, which is almost 40 per cent of that figure.

10,000 members are claimed for the board, but for this period there are only 26
posters. Of them thank good fortune, 90 pc or more are regulars. That saves
it's reputation from tatters.

It reminds me of a typical bridge built by the Portuguese in Goa say in 1850,
once a thing of pride, still of use today, but crumbling from non-improvement
from building date.

We can look at the bridge and say "super awesome, it's more than 150 years old,
but not much else. It's no longer a throbbing, pulsating thing.
