Hi Roland, Thanks for the memories. Polson Butter, Waterbury's Compound and even Enos Fruit salts - I remember them all! Being prone to chest infections as a youngster, I must have consumed several bottles of Waterbury's compound. If my memory serves me, I think there were two types - blue and red label? I loved Polson butter more because of its salty taste(no warnings about too much salt intake in those days). The other 'excitement with Polson butter was to collect the gift coupon and try and wipe the 'grease' off them. Innocent cravings! During the war days I remember we had to make do with margarine-(can't remember the brand) or ghee! Having later tasted Kenya butter, produced by Kenya Co-operative Creameries, I must say that this particular spread takes the biscuit!
