"World Konkani Day - 2006"
Goan Review Art Foundation (GRAF) is celebrating the World Konkani event -
WORLD KONKANI DAY-2006 at St. Mary's Jr. College Hall, Kalina, Santa Cruz
(East) on 10th. September 2006 (Sunday) commencing at 7.00 p.m.
World Konkani Day is being celebrated in recongnition of Konkani as one of
the national languages of the country. This year, August 20, commemorated
the 14th anniversary of inclusion of Konkani in the eighth schedule of the
Indian Constitution.
This great day will be celebrated with a Variety Entertainment programme
highlighting rich traditional culture of Konkan, consisting of
Mando-dulpods, folk dances, songs and sing-along. Not to miss mouth watering
Goan Culinary delicacies.
Prominent Konkani personalities who have rendered yeoman service to Konkani
