At the airport, he was accompanied by the PWD Minister, Mr Churchill Alemao, Urban Development Minister, Mr Joaquim Alemao, Power Minister, Mr Alex Sequeira, Curtorim MLA, Mr Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco, Mr Ghanashyam Shirodkar and Mr Mike Mehta. It will be looked into by the Congress high command, he added. He charged the Bharatiya Janata Party of trying to come back to power through the backdoor means, while speaking to the media, at the South Goa collectorate, at Margao. "The Congress has come to power through legitimate means and it is only the BJP which does not want to see him as the Chief Minister only because of the pro-people decisions which he has taken for the good of Goans," the Chief minister said while answering a question. He alleged that the BJP is out to create chaos in the state and added that the BJP has no mandate to rule Goa as their strength had been reduced to 14 MLAs from 17 in the recent elections. "Perhaps the BJP is looking out for the dissolution of the assembly by adopting such undesirable means," the Chief Minister said.
