Dear all: We look forward to the opportunity to circulate your writing through our significant and appreciative readership, via the Goanet Reader network. Since this is a not-for-profit, unfunded venture, we cannot pay our writers. Instead, we offer them a readership of 12,000 ... and we encourage our readers to send in their feedback direct to the writers.
What we are looking out for: * Any article related to Goa and her diaspora. * Issues which the writer has some experience or qualification to write about. * Neglected issues and themes related to Goa. * Articles which throw new insights into understanding Goa, or go counter to the traditionally accepted wisdom. * Articles of 1000 to 4000 words in length (space is not a problem, but the article should be readable and interesting, whatever its length). You do not need to be a "professional writer" to contribute to this slot. You could write just about any topic, provided it would be of interest to a wider audience. The language needs to be simple and non-technical, as we do not assume any specialist knowledge on the part of our readers. Currently, we are looking at the possibilities of converting select past Goanet Reader contributions into a book, so that the ideas expressed there can be easily accessed by readers in Goa who do not access cyberspace regularly. If anyone would like to support such a venture, kindly get in touch.
