João Barros is an actual person. As Son of Salcette as you can get. Probably 
from Velsão.

Ex East Africa, once resident in New Jersey and then on teaching assignment in 
Japan followed by retirement in Goa, he writes poems on Goanet probably in the 
Haiku style he may have come across in Japan.

That is my take. Perhaps João himself may correct me.
