It turns out that /Files/Fonts was not in the gs -? font path
and adding a symlink with
ln -s /Files/Fonts/Type1/ /Programs/GhostScript/8.54/share/ghostscript/fonts
fixed it.  So, why didn't Compile GhostScript do that?  Or have
I found a wrong fix for the bug?
