Accessing google ajax API for image search using Ruby on Rails!

Hello, How can I use google ajax search API for image search using Ruby on Rails? Can you please provide me step by step guide for doing this? Here I am interested in getting all information about image. And Can the API sort the images and only display images of a specific size? Is it possible
