Hello!

I would like to take over the "ja2" project [1] currently owned by gcyunMail.

My intention is to host the ja2-straciatella code to bring that project back
to some speed and ease collaboration.

In the following I will answer the questions mentioned in your FAQ [2]:
> How long has the project lay fallow? If less than 6 months, don't be
optimistic about being assigned ownership of the project.
About 3 years

> Is there something "fishy" about the circumstances of the request? People
squat project names much as they do DNS names.
Read about my intentions above.

> Is there code in that project? If so, it is much less likely that we will
reassign ownership of that project to you except for the purpose of continuing
development of that code.
No

> Is the project scheduled for deletion? If so, we'll likely just give it to
you.
Not that I know of.

> Is the project you wish to take over a spam trap or hosting malware or
simply not open source?
Possible - it hosts just one binary file.

> Have you made an effort in good faith to contact the current owners? What,
if anything, did they have to say in reply?
3 emails in January, February and March 2011 - no reply.

> Has one of the original developers died or otherwise dropped off the grid in
some fashion that you can describe to us?
Not that I know of.

> Have you hosted malware, spam or non-open source content on Project Hosting
before? If so, don't be optimistic that we'll cooperate.
No, never.

Kind regards,
Dennis
