Did you ever get this fixed I have a similar problem.
I have an OSGi application that is sending mail fine from the command line.
How ever the bundle that loads a GWT interface throws an exception sending mail

if doesn't find the library is because you don't have them in classpath...
check these items:
- Remove all Google AppEngine related jars
- If you use Java SE 6 then you only have to download
