Hi,
I have not seen an official annoucement but the Google Plugin has been
updated for Eclipse 3.5 and is available.
I have updated my GWT tutorial which can be found here:

The update of the article contains only the correct update site which

The problem is that GWT 1.6.x bundles the 32-bit version of the Carbon SWT
libraries (on Mac), so while you'll be able to run Eclipse 3.5 JDK 6 and
install the plugin, your GWT projects will have to use Mac's 32-bit JDK in
order to launch.
The next version of GWT (or, if you build a version of GWT

That's good to hear. Anything new you can share with us at this time
on the plans for an open source release of the plugin?

Hello Issac,
It is something that we plan on doing, but it is not as high priority as
some of the other features that we are working on.

Will the Eclipse 3.5 plugin support using jdk 6 for OS X? We have been
eagerly waiting for this!
Thank you,

Understood. Thank you, Miguel, Rajeev, and everyone else working on

Is there a URL where we can check on the status of the plugin? Is
there a beta test for the plugin?
That would be a lot more efficient than people randomly asking here in
the forums.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Just found something interesting:

Seems that Yoxos is distributing an eclipse 3.5 build with the Google
Eclipse Plugin installed, and its working.

Hey Steven,
Thanks for pointing this out! We tried out the distribution that you sent,
and it seems that the plugin sort of works. The New Web Application Wizard
and GWT Compile dialogs do not work. Neither does JSNI refactoring.
This makes sense, as these are exactly the problems that we're
Rajeev,
That makes sense. And, again, thanks for getting back to me so fast.
Do you know if there is any plan to synchronize Google Eclipse Plugin
releases to the Eclipse Release Train?
It would be amazing if in the future, the release of Eclipse 3.6 were
to perfectly coincide with the release
We are working on the release as we speak. It should be out shortly
(weeks).

I'll pile-on to this question. I didn't expect GWT to have a hard
version
dependency on Eclipse bundles. Odds are, the plugin would/will work
fine with 3.5 were it allowed to install.
It would have been better, IMHO, to use a version interval in the
manifest
rather than a specific version.
Thanks for response Brett. Unfortunately, the plugin uses many internal
Eclipse APIs (for example, for our JSNI integration into the editor) and we
can't assume the next version will remain compatible.
Anyway, we're working on
getting 3.5 support out in the next couple/few weeks.
