Using Cells for 2D representation

Hey there, is it possible to define a 2D cell list (->grid) which is based on the cell paradigm to utilize functionality like paging etc? Basically I want to have a grid based representation like for example pinterest without having to rewrite functionality already given with cells. Cheers, M
