all older versions too.
Please check if "lsusb" lists it when plugged in.
If not, please check the USB cable, try a different usb port, and make
sure battery has been sufficiently charged.

I have had good success with this camera and gphoto, taking literally thousands
of photos with it. I have it connected to a Raspberry PI (Linux). I am able to
control all the standard controls plus I can load the preview display on the
the raspberry pi.
If you are connecting via Windows you may
