Hi everyone
My name is Csongor Matyas. I'm a hungarian PhD student studying in St.
John's Canada. I'm working with knots, trying to approach them from graph
theory point of view. I'm using python and this is how I found graph_tool.
I like it, thank you all ;)

I will also post my first question, this was the main reason why I
registered for this mailing list. The description and examples were usually
more than enough for me to use graph_tool, nice job ;) I have a question
though.
In the "graph_tool.topology.is_planar(*g*, *embedding=True*)" how do I use
Look at:

First line:
from graph_tool.all import *
It's good to walk through at least over the basics ;)

Hi Will
I don't think that there are any sub packages. Everything is one package
here. A good way to start is to try the examples from the documentation.
There are lots of examples there for drawing and for other stuff too. I
found it very helpful.
Hi everyone
I'm trying to generate a planar graph of amino acids, based on their
properties, something like this:

I want them to be something like this (I know there is a solution already,
but this is just an example at the moment, if I can't
I know this is a bit off topic, but it might be related to graph-tool also
there might be someone here who could help me. I need all the planar graphs
that are 4-regular (in the meaning that every vertex has a degree 4) but
each graph is allowed to have double edges (not triple or more) also an
When I install a new Ubuntu on a device and want to install graph-tool,
following the instructions:
https://git.skewed.de/count0/graph-tool/wikis/installation-instructions#debian-ubuntu
at the moment with bionic version of Ubuntu (18.04), but I always get the
error message:
