Hello to all,
for a project of Geomophologic information system I need to compute
morphometrical parameters (characteristics) of the third order (change
of curvature). For this computation I need to compute the 3rd
directional partial derivatives on the DEM (GRID).
I have tried normal (or
I experienced something like that a few weeks ago. Is windows your OS?
Any way, I just edited the VAR file in my mapset to remove the last two
lines:
schema:(null)
group:(null)
It worked the next time I opened GRASS or QGIS in that mapset.

I tried to change to:

Then it will work (best is to use db.connect for such things).

Thanks,
I solved by the suggestion of Jonathan!
I have remove the last two lines in VAR and now work fine.
I tried again by db.connect,
how do I disply a thematic map in GRASS for vector attributes that don't have
numeric values?
I'd suggest QGIS. Load a GRASS vector, enter it's
properties, in 'Symbology' tab use 'Legend Type: Unique Value'.
Yes, I used that.
But QGis reacts kind of slowly. Therefore, I wanted to do it in

Hi all,
when I connect GRASS with PG I can alter the table (create new columns
and alter data) and view these changes with grass.
It is possible to create a VIEW in PG and connect the results with grass
(without PostGIS!) ??
My thoughts are these: if I want
