Niko, thank you very much for your contribution. I'm also a Grass-QGIS user
and Arcgis user. Well, Grass is really powerful but I' think Arcgis is more
effectiveness specially in cartography and map production. I think Grass
should update it's GUI and add some more functionality for cartography an

First, thanks to Mortiz for pointing out the buffering issue. By adding
centroids to the buffered output, that now corresponds to the source set

Overlaying is still causing some pain - I need to explain what I have to
ask my question, so bear with me.

Hi all,
I've been trying to import a .e00 file using v.in.ogr; all vector features are
imported perfectly; except for the centroids and the corresponding attribute
table. Maybe v.in.e00 does this work better?
Cheers,

Has anyone had any success on unpacking the HDF files for AIRS VIS/NIR
data on a Windows based machine? If so, what tool(s) did you use. I've
been trying to
tackle it using HEGTool and HDFView but had no success to date.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Best and thanks in advance, Mark Hal

Well, in my opinion a DTM is a model describing the elevation of the
terrain, without superimposed elements like houses, bridge, etc...
A DSM is a general term for a surface model of whatever type...
and a DEM is a model of elevations, where the Z is the height (including
