Thanks, but the data type doesn't change that's a shell script. I still
have the same error message: (sorry, it's in french, but it says as much
as v.db.addcol is not a executable program or a bat file).
I tried as well os.system(v.db.addcol map=ditch columns='urban int'),
but it's the same.

I've set-up my system based on your detailed descriptions/instructions
below (old post) using grass64.
1. Would you mind sharing in addition the way you change between
mapsets/locations? Do you start a new shell session after re-defining
somehow the variables LOCATION_NAME or/and

We are currently working on normalising some landsat scenes using a
topographic and illumination correction.
We have calculated the solar incidence angle using a dem and r.sun. We are
now looking to calculate the existance angle for Landsat. Has anybody have
advice on how to calculate
