Hi there,
I have a question, I am working with r.cost algotithm but is not running for my
whole spatial data but when a put just a piece of the map it works.
The main problem is that the algorithm does not finish, but it seems as keeping
running 112%, 115%,120%...

Hi,
Roger Bivand recommend this list to be more suitable for my sort
of question the R-sig-geo.
I'd like to use R outside a running GRASS session.
With the R package 'spgrass6' I can initiate a GRASS session (using
the function initGRASS). Therefore I need the path of the GISBASE.

Johannes,
Control-click on the GRASS.app and you'll get a popup menu; select Show
Package Contents — this opens you to the directory structure:
Go to Contents-MacOS which would be GISBASE; So, in my case, GISBASE is

Try starting up GRASS and look where the database is in the GUI. Maybe
that will work? I can't test it because I am running Ubuntu.

Hi,
I'd like to list (using g.list) all raster maps
that start with rast_* but not those which start with
rast_A_* OR rast_B_* OR rast_C_*. I tried to use the
OR operator and | but without success so far.
Are such logical operators generally applicable with g.mlist?
Best regards,
Johannes

Hi all.
I am referring to an earlier similar problem.
In GRASS 6.4.1, spearfish dataset, I just tried this:
r.contour in=elevation.dem step=500 out=contour --overwrite
echo VERTI:

591140 4917821
604188 4918841
1 1 | v.in.ascii out=arc format=standard --overwrite

Gotcha, thanks for the correction.

Hi everybody!I'm looking for a smart tool to visualize GIS raster layers (dem,
geoimages) and vector extruded volumes as NVIZ does, but with the possibility
of colourizing volumes, instead of colors, with bitmap modular texturing (QGis
does something similar but onli in 2d). It seems to me

Dear Grass gurus
I have a vector map with lines, and I need to get raster values each 5 meters.
So I used v.split to spring my lines in segments of 5 meters, and
after that I used
