that's what I did, even before trying with a self-compiled 6.4.3RC2, but I
cannot find the extension under the GUI menus (I know, I can run it via
CLI).

I've compiled GRASS 6.4.3RC2.
The add-on installation exits with the following error:

Way back before g.extension, I wasn't satisified with GEM, and there wasn't
much interest in fixing it up, so I added 'modbuild' to the Mac package.
It's still there, though it's not obvious (it's breifly mentioned in one of the
readmes). Find it in /Library/GRASS/6.4. Copy it to your home fol
Hello,
as it is not posssible at the moment to install add-on modules on a
mac via the g.extension (on GRASS GIS 6.5SVN and 7SVN) I'd like to
ask you if there is any other way?
Maybe you can explain me step by step how to install an add-on
without g.extension on my mac. I'd like to instal

I need to rebuild grass64 first?
The README.txt file in the r.inund.fluv directory showed me what to do: 'cd
/usr4/grass64' and 'make install'.

I downloaded the r.inund.fluv tree from the svn server and built using
'make MODULE_TOPDIR=/usr4/grass64/'. All went well ... until I tried to
install it.
The error message is:
/usr/bin/ginstall -c /usr4/grass64/dist.i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/r.inund.fluv
/usr/local/grass-6.4.0svn/bin/

The add-on I hope to install is i.topo.corr
When trying to install this (or any other add-on) either by " INST_NOW=y
make" or the "make MODULE_TOPDIR=$HOME/..." process as described below and
in the documentation
the process fails with:
Makefile:8: ../../include/Make/Module.make: No such file or
The grass addon (if they are in C), can be installed by re-compiling the
source code.
It may help this page:
http://istgis.ist.supsi.ch:8090/pmwiki/index.php?n=GRASS.Installazione
Once compiled the grass source code, to add an addon module just extract
the file in the grass source directory,
are they C code addons or just SHELL scripts ?

Hi all,
I have no trouble downloading the add-ons I hope to use from the
repository, but could use some instruction on how to get them
installed/functional in a 6.2.2 installation (stock Ubuntu package).
Thanks,
Zack
