I tried to uninstall and reinstall it but it does not work yet.
Does you have any clue about this?

Hi,
I 'm trying to reproject a raster map from a location Gauss-Boaga to
UTM-WGS84.
The map in Gauss Boaga was created using r.patch from 4 maps imported
from a geotif file.
I describe the procedure below to be more precise:
from the GB location
- r.in.gdal on the 4 tif files (the tfw was 0
Make sure that your are creating an FP map with float values rather
than a cell map with integer values.
Second, your ranges overlap. They need to be non-overlapping to be
meaningful in a legend. For example, a value of 0.7 could occur in all
3 of your ranges.

well imho most simple method would be export dem in gray (any graphical
format) and use it as displacement map in 3dMAX or use it as the map in
displacement modifier. I used this method years ago to presend 3d
relief. It gave me very interesting result. ;-)
Second method is to change grid into 3
Hello!
I am trying to launch Grass under OpenSuse 11 - 64, rpm packages from

I can enter the initial Grass window, it shows me the projects I have in my
disk but it does not open it. I only get two frozen wind
Hi Francesco,
Another idea is to export the DEM in grey scale, many 3D packages have an
option to create terrain from greyscale 8-bit images, very handy if you
ask me.

into ArchiCAD?
ArchiCAD doesn't recognize VRML a

Is anybody familiar with the error message cache_queue_enqueue: position not in
queue?
I receive it when attempting to run r.to.rast3 with multiple raster layers to
create a 3d raster layer.

I did, but the 3d guy tells me it doesn't work. Now I've created a
contour map out of the DEM, and I'm exporting it to a shapefile which
should also work. But I'll try
My data is indeed a point cloud from bathymetry data so I can understand the
problems you outlined so I will be happy to create 3d output from the multiple
slicing method of r.to.rast3. I have only previously set a 2d region which all
points lie within but am unsure how to set a 3d region? I '
Hi Wolf,
I have a DEM and a satellite image in GRASS of an island that I'd need
to create a 3D model for. Does anyone know how to get this data in 3DS?
I can use r.out.pov to create a tga file that POV-Ray is happy with, but
that doesn't create a 3D model... I've tried looking at blender, but I'
Not sure about the image, but you could export
the DEM points or mesh as VTK, then use paraview to
export them to PLY.
Maybe 3DS can read that. If not, take a look at MeshLab
which will read PLY and offer more export formats.
Ben
Btw., a v.out.ply for GRASS would be great ;)

Hello Ben,
Thank you for your suggestion but when I attempt to run r,to.rast3 I get the
'position not in queue' message again. I ran v.kernel on the respective slices
with st deviation of 5 leaving all other parameters as they were. Was this
correct? Having used the v.info command the layer
To generate a volumetric model of your point data, you need to use
an algorithm that can interpolate an attribute in 3D space.
To start with, you need to make sure that your input points map is
actually a 3D geometry, not just 2D points with X,Y and Z attributes
attached (us v.info to find out).
Hi
I have set of map with foolowing (example) ranges:
0.34-1.1
0.67-2.4
0.12-0.8
And I need common legend for that set i.e 0.12-2.4
I think I shoud create map with range of data 0.12-2.4 and use it as the
source to the legend
I tried with r.plane and r.mapcalc but it is difficult to adjust prope

Even if this is a Grass ML I want to indicate you gvSIG mobile. I
don't know how many of your requested features it cover. Have a look

A bit of progress on this:
The dwg files contains a tic mark and a frame layer. This can be used
to get the bounds of each topo image.
I then converted the dwg file to shapefile then to gml.
Get number of pixels of the image with gdalinfo, calculate the pixel
size base on the distance of tic mar
