[GRASS-user] Grass init error
Hi I have the following error message when I installed QGIS 3.10.4 ltr: Grass init error: Grass was not found in 'C: / PROGRA ~ 1 / QGIS 3.10 / apps / grass / grass78' (GISBASE), provider and plugin will not work. I use windows 10, the latest updated version. I start QGIS using QGIS Desktop 3.10.4 with GRASS 7.8.2. I have already uninstalled, cleaned logs, redoed installation and the same error persists. The same thing with versions 3.2.3 and 3.10.12. Could anyone help with this error? -- -- Thanks João Marcelo Lopes Keep Playing http://www.boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/jmlsiqueira?own=1&subtype=boardgame&ff=1 [1] Links: -- [1] http://www.boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/jmlsiqueira?own=1&subtype=boardgame&ff=1___ grass-user mailing list grass-user@lists.osgeo.org https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/grass-user
Re: [GRASS-user] g.region -a: what's it supposed to do?
Hello again, Please disregard the previous message. I've read the docs again and "even multiples of the resolution" is the key part. I get it now, and why I'm seeing the behavior from the commands below. -k. Re: [GRASS-user] Research: Help improve the special mode for first-time users in GRASS GIS
Hi Linda Thanks for your great work on the new first-time use interface. (I'd rather not logon to survey monkey, so I'm responding directly) A point regarding choosing Location is still not clear: After startup and automatically going to the last used Location, if I want to switch to another Location, I go to the "Settings=>GRASS Working Environment" menu. There are now three options that seem to be redundant: "Change working environment:, "Change mapset", and "Change location and mapset". If I choose the first (i.e. g.mapset) then: The GUI does not reflect this change (original Location stays Bold) I can no longer load layers from the original mapset, as expected. but I can not load layers from the new mapset thru the Data panel ("map is in different projection") Perhaps this should be removed from the GUI. (A user working on the CLI, running g.mapset, would probably know what she's doing) The options "Change location and mapset" or "Change mapset" work as I expect. But maybe these two could be merged to make these changes more clear, unified. Another point I notice: The warning "Move or copy mapset isn't allowed" seems to popup often, when it's not obvious what I did to cause that warning message.
