There are many tutorials on the GRASS web site and there is the excellent book
by Neteler and Mitasova. Although the GRASS interface has evolved considerably
since its publication, it is focused mostly on using the various analytical
modules and hence remains highly relevant.

Having come from synod and 25 yes of arc info I am now retired and on macias
...downloaded 6.4x with python and my ? Is how do I get a shape file or e00 or
raster to draw on my screen I know this seems like a stupid ? But it is not
readily apparent
