upgrading to the Elasticsearch 1.4.x series is safe (and has also been in
production at some of our support customers). The only oddity you might
encounter is, that if a circuit breaker (introduced in Elasticsearch 1.4.0)
is triggered, it looks like a "normal" query error for Graylog,
