I'd like to perform a bisect to figure out what commit caused this
regression. We need to identify the earliest kernel where the issue
started happening as well as the latest kernel that did not have this

It would be good to know what type of activity causes this bug. Does it
happen only when using video in you're browser, such as youtube? Does
it only happen when using Google Hangouts? Or, can you trigger the
screen blanking when only using a single application, such as email?
