Title:
  Update landscape-client with upstream fixes

Status in landscape-client package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in landscape-client source package in Bionic:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  [Impact]

  Reference:
  https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates#New_upstream_microreleases

  This SRU contains minor updates for landscape-client as follow :

   - Fix regression in configuration hook under install-cd chroot (LP: #1699789)
   - Report autoremovable packages (LP: #1208393)
   - Don't re-register client by default. (LP: #1618483)
   - Add proxy handling to package reporter. (LP: #1531150)

  [Test Case]

  There is unfortunately no specific test cases since this is a bunch of
  bugfixes to improve landscape-client for Xenial and trusty users.

  General dogfooding and all tests as outlined by the QA procedures here will
have to be covered:
  https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LandscapeUpdates

  For xenial and trusty, tests ISOs have been rebuilt by the Landscape
  team with the updated packages to verify the installer regression is
  fixed.

  [Regression Potential]

   - The debdiff has been provided by the Canonical Landscape team,
  which IMHO should bring even more confidence (CI verifications, ...)

[Group.of.nepali.translators] [Bug 1727275] Re: ubuntu_sysdig_smoke_test failed on azure 4.11 kernel

  ubuntu_sysdig_smoke_test failed on azure 4.11 kernel

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in sysdig package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in linux source package in Xenial:
  New
Status in sysdig source package in Xenial:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  [SRU sysdig XENIAL for 4.11 and 4.13 kernel support]

  sysdig DKMS fails to build because of API changes in 4.11, 4.13

  [FIX]

  Apply the following upstream sysdig commits for various kernel compat
  fixes:

  - [5fef96] Fix for kernel < 3.9 with CPU_ACCOUNTING_NATIVE disabled.
  - [29c40f] Fix cputime for kernel 3.8 and 2.6.18
  - [4596f0] Make sure to unlock mutex during error paths
  - [460f6e] Update probe module for kernel 4.11 (#829)

  [TEST]
  from kernel team autotests:

  sudo autotest/client/autotest-local
  autotest/client/tests/ubuntu_sysdig_smoke_test/control

  Without the fixes, these will fail. With the fixes, the regression
  tests pass. Run this 4.4, 4.8, 4.11 azure and 4.13-hwe kernels, must
  pass on all three kernel versions.

  [REGRESSION POTENTIAL]
  This affects just the sysdig driver. Could break on pre-4.13 older kernels,
so needs regression checking on supported kernel versions.

Bug description:
  [Impact]

  The docker plugin in sosreport doesn't collect informations for
  Ubuntu.

  In docker.py for the Ubuntu Plugin, the docker command is set to
  'docker.io'[1] which seems to be a old workaround that has been
  removed[2], thus the docker plugin is no longer calling an existing
  docker binary which as a result doesn't collect docker informations in
  Ubuntu.

  [1]- Plugin : docker.py

  # Name collision with another package requires docker binary rename
  docker_cmd = 'docker.io'

  [2]- docker.io package : debian/changelog

  docker.io (1.3.1~dfsg1-2) unstable; urgency=medium
  * Remove deprecated /usr/bin/docker.io symlink
  - added as a temporary shim in 1.0.0~dfsg1-1 (13 Jun 2014)
  - unused by package-installed files in 1.2.0~dfsg1-1 (13 Sep 2014)
  -- Tianon Gravi  Fri, 07 Nov 2014 13:11:34 -0700

  [Test Case]

  # Install sosreport from the Ubuntu archive
  $ sudo apt-get update
  $ sudo apt-get install sosreport

  # Run sosreport with docker plugin only or all loaded plugins (for the
  sake of testing docker plugin the "-o" is more appropriate

  Docker plugin only :
  $ sosreport -o docker

  All loaded plugins:
  $ sosreport -a

  # Extract the sosreport*.tar.xz file generated by the above command
  found in /tmp

  # Look in "/path_to_sosreport/sos_commands/docker/" and note that all
  files are empty with "0" size.

  [Regression Potential]

  No regression, this is a trivial fix that will allow sosreport to
  start collecting the docker informations again.

  If for some reasons, a regression is found, it would be 100% limited
  to docker plugin of sosreport and not affecting the functionality the
  core functionality nor other plugins.

  * Debian Bug :
  https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=863374
  (Patch submitted to Debian on June 2 2017)

  [Original Description]

  This Launchpad bug is based on an existing GitHub bug[1].

  The docker plugin is currently broken in sosreport. In docker.py[2]
  for Ubuntu the docker command is set to 'docker.io'.

  docker_cmd = 'docker.io'

  The docker.io package used to have a docker.io binary but this was
  reverted in this debian/changelog from Ubuntu Xenial/16.04 (LTS):

   docker.io (1.3.1~dfsg1-2) unstable; urgency=medium
  * Remove deprecated /usr/bin/docker.io symlink
    - added as a temporary shim in 1.0.0~dfsg1-1 (13 Jun 2014)
    - unused by package-installed files in 1.2.0~dfsg1-1 (13 Sep 2014)
     -- Tianon Gravi   Fri, 07 Nov 2014 13:11:34 -0700

  The Docker Community and Enterprise Editions (docker-ce and docker-ee
  packages) also use the plain docker binary and this change is
  necessary to make the sosreport docker module work again.

  There are currently two different pull requests that fix this issue:

  https://github.com/sosreport/sos/pull/1009
  https://github.com/sosreport/sos/pull/1012

  We should SRU this fix once one of them is accepted.

  SRU: backport python 2.7.12 to 16.04 LTS

  The idea is to ship a released version with the first point release of
  16.04 LTS. We updated python2.7 from the the 2.7 branch up to the
  final 2.7.12 release, and then made a test rebuild of the archive
  using the new python2.7 (and some other toolchain packages).

  The test rebuild was done using the release candidate of 2.7.12,
  however the only changes between the rc and the final release are
  Windows related, and include one change in the idle lib. From my point
  of view we don't need another test rebuild.

  The evaluation of the test rebuild is found in LP: #1586673. I'm
  pretty sure that none of the possible regressions can be attributed to
  the python2.7 update.

[Group.of.nepali.translators] [Bug 1734109] Re: Avoid symbol conflicts with `md5_*' symbols in third party extensions

the change is already in artful and bionic

** Changed in: python2.7 (Ubuntu Artful)
   Status: New => Fix Released

** Changed in: python2.7 (Ubuntu)
   Status: New => Fix Released

** Description changed:

+ SRU
+
  We link most extensions as built-ins into the python binary. the md5_*
  symbols cause a conflict with external libs/extensions. So just use the
  _Py-* namespace for these. See the Debian report for details.
+
+ These are internal functions for the md5 module. Renaming them to the
+ _Py_* namespace avoids the conflict. There should not be any case where
+ these are intentionally referenced. At least in the archive there are no
+ known references, so the regression potential is limited to external
+ binaries, and there it should be minimal to non-existing as well.

  We link most extensions as built-ins into the python binary. the md5_*
  symbols cause a conflict with external libs/extensions. So just use
  the _Py-* namespace for these. See the Debian report for details.

  These are internal functions for the md5 module. Renaming them to the
  _Py_* namespace avoids the conflict. There should not be any case
  where these are intentionally referenced. At least in the archive
  there are no known references, so the regression potential is limited
  to external binaries, and there it should be minimal to non-existing
  as well.

[Group.of.nepali.translators] [Bug 1734109] [NEW] Avoid symbol conflicts with `md5_*' symbols in third party extensions
