This bug was fixed in the package libgweather - 3.10.2-0ubuntu3 --- libgweather (3.10.2-0ubuntu3) trusty-proposed; urgency=medium * Switch to the new METAR data provider, the previous one was shut down (update_metar_provider.patch, LP: #1620557). -- Dmitry Shachnev

Don't worry about marking this a duplicate. We repurposed the other bug to just track the libmateweather SRU instead. Do you want to upload the fix for Trusty too? gnome-applets in Precise is technically no longer supported which I think was the only thing using this library for actual weather
