Hello, I can confirm the issue with makedumpfile on amd64. However, the crc32c module issue does not appear on amd64 and the module is indeed present in the smaller initrd created for kdump (present in /var/lib/kdump/initrd.img-4.8.0-11-generic). I will investigate the makedumpfile issue with 4.8
