We sell Growl in bulk via our site for volume customers. For people
purchasing for themselves the app store is generally a better choice since
it gives you a lot more control (I realize there are edge cases) and in
general it's easier for us as well since Apple is better equipped to handle
purchasing.

We're slowly working on an update, but overall 2.1.3 has been fairly rock
solid.
