Hello Franco, This all seems like a pretty bad bug but it's been around for quite a long time (to my knowledge) and I've never found any reference in searches I've done about it so either people know about it and have been ignoring it, ie not a show stopper just annoying, or else it only

I'm building using Gtk 3.14 and have tested on 3.18 and see the same sort of thing. As I said, not a show stopper but sometimes in my application the user can be fooled into to thinking they are looking at an updated display when in fact nothing has changed. On Fri, 2016-01-01 at 12:57 +0100,
